Beijing · Sourcing Chinese Art for the World
Twenty years inside the Chinese art world — studios, auctions, dealers and estates. We help collectors, galleries and institutions outside China find the right work, verify it properly, and move it across borders without surprises.
Where to start
Most first conversations start with one of these. Tell us which one sounds like you and we will take it from there.
Paintings, works on paper and limited editions from Chinese contemporary artists, mostly priced between US$ 1,000 and US$ 30,000. Every work ships documented: condition report, provenance notes, export paperwork.

A small, rotating selection, mostly priced between US$ 1,000 and US$ 30,000. Prices are quoted in USD and exclude shipping, duty and insurance unless stated. Much of what we source never appears here — tell us the artist or the room you are filling.
All works are offered as art objects. Nothing on this site is investment advice, and we make no representation about future value.
Who you are working with
Art Carp is led by a researcher and collector who has spent twenty years studying Chinese art history, painting in oil, buying and selling at Chinese auction, and working inside the financial side of the art trade.
That combination matters more than it sounds. Sourcing a work is easy. Sourcing the right work — from an artist whose market, documentation and condition will still stand up in five years — requires both an eye and a balance sheet.
Our background also includes two decades of visual storytelling: more than 300 advertising campaigns and 50 documentary productions, and a 2018 study visit to New York galleries and museums. It shapes how we present a work to a buyer who has never seen it in person.
We work in English and Mandarin, and we are used to the questions overseas buyers actually ask: Why this artist? Why this price? What paperwork comes with it? Who has owned it before?
